August Teen Book Club Report:

Hey Guys!
I know at least some of you actually read my blog and those people (hm hm) would know that I recently read and reviewed Hold Fast by Kevin Major because I had to read it for my book club. So today was the meeting and as usual it was complete disarray. And as I was rereading my review of Hold Fast, before I posted this report, I realised that I never got to ask them what they though Hold Fast actually meant. I actually really wanted to know, and I completely forgot. ugh... but it's okay because I think I can guess know. I actually kind of think that it mans something like "hold on to the things the you have and don't let go or take them for granted".

As I wrote in my review, that you can view here:, I actually did kind of like the book. Firstly, because it was a new experience for me, especially since it is legit 38 years old and I had no idea. I just though it was a little strange. And Secondly, no matter how bad the book is, it becomes ten times better when you can discuss it with people who have all read it and love books almost as much as you.

SO moving on the what actually transpired at the meeting...

First we talk about what books will be our next book club books and I am very happy to say that the next three books all seem normal. Bless! And also how at the end T brought us some Arcs, super exciting, yay thanks T. Double Bless! Lmao but actually. Here are the next book club books:
September -- Will Grayson, Will Grayson by: John Green and David Leviathan
October -- Everyday also by: David Leviathan ( lmao, totally did not realise that )
December -- We Were Liars by: E. Lockhart ( Yay, I really wanted to read it, and now I have to, ;) )
6567017   13262783   16143347 (And the covers all look amazing!)
After that annoncement, we basically just discussed how excited we were to be reading and then discussing such normal, and hopefully good books. Btw I have never heard of Everyday by: David Leviathan but it actually looks good and I'm excited to read it. I read the synopsis and it sounds very intriguing to me. As for Will Grayson, Will Grayson; I've already read it but I think I might re-read some parts or maybe even the whole book, because it was a while ago that I read it. A girl actually had a super long list of books she suggested and I felt kinda bad for her because I suggested one book and it got chosen, because someone else suggested it, and another one really wanted to read it and I had no idea. The Lovely Bones, sadly got rejected because it was under the adult category for violence, and we are a teen book club so I respect that. Apparently there's some good website called Common Sense Media, that I should check out, that has all the ratings for books and more. A girl also mentioned, btw we have guys too ;),  how Will Grayson, Will Grayson sounds too repetitive and she says that it sounds weird because it's repeated twice. So we kind of decided to call it Willx2, this isn't concrete yet, but it sounds super cool, lol. After that we went on some silly discussion about how Will Grayson sounds like Will which sounds like Bill which sounds like Bill, Bill which sounds like Bill Nye the Science Guy. So before long, obviously, we were all singing that super annoying song. Aha...

Okay now back to Hold Fast and the meeting...

So right after that discussion I kind of summarised the whole Will Grayson thing into one paragraph so I can focus on Hold fast (ish) for the rest. Sorry if you only want to hear our discussion but I can't really control it, nobody can, and we just end up discussing everything. Anyways... After that I gave a summary of the book because a lot of people didn't read it or finish it because they either didn't like it or didn't want to read it, and I was one of the only people who finished it. I kept getting interrupted but it's okay, I think we finally got through it at around 40% through our meeting. Then T tried to get our discussion back on track and we started discussing a lot of things I was actually wondering about. We talked about the weird language in the book (which I mentioned in my review) and how they all have an old Newfoundland accent. Apparently some people even still have it today. We also mentioned how a lot of swear words were strange and we didn't know what the hell they meant. Some examples were "cripes" and "frigging". We also came upon a question of how people think of school (page 42), and how they either focus in class and do their homework or they don't and just study a lot. A lot of people were actually the second option but I found that I am mainly the first but I study too, I just don't cram, and I find it highly effective. Another question was: "What kind of adolescent struggles can you relate to in this book?" I think that a big issue for teens in the modern era is communicating with their parents and trying to get the freedom they think they deserve.

We also talked about whether or not or is a coming of age story. And a lot of people didn't think so
and at first I disagreed but then I started to agree. A lot of people were saying how he grew but not that much, "he didn't come full circle". He went from sad to okay to giving up to sad. A girl mentioned how he just gave up on his awful uncle and left without facing his problems, which was a major struggle that didn't make it a coming of age story. And she also said how the only time he really changed in the novel was when he felt guilty for lying to an old man about Curtis having a hearing problem. And I completely agree. And I was just talking to a another girl about what she said when she randomly though someone said her name and hilariously introduced herself to the girl who "accidentally called her name", when no one did. It was such a hilarious misunderstanding that everyone died of laughter and I totally lost my train of thought. Another reason we all agreed it wasn't a coming of age story was because Michael, the main character, didn't really change or realise his mistakes. He never had a sudden personality change or anything... For some reason at some point we brought up Germany and how if you want to speed you can go there. I totally forgot why Germany even came up but it was funny nonetheless.

A bit later we discussed: "What are the clashes between small town life vs. bigger city living?" We thought this issue came up a lot with Michael because he was raised in the small town of Marten and when he was moved to the city of St.Alberts he had a hard time adjusting. And we also discussed why. In a big city you are forced to interact with more people, not as many people care about what happens to you, people just don't have the time to care. Vs. in a small town everyone is very friendly, there is more freedom, less laws, more sense of community, everyone helps each other out. And we thought this helped us understand Michael more because we can see the differences clearer now, and how hard it would be to change from one atmosphere to a completely different one. Then T said that we had 2 more questions left and it turned into a don't make me make you do the kindergarten clap but song version... Idk what was happening. Then we discussed the count to ten game and played. Where one person says one and then other people have to say two to ten, but it two people say the say number at the same time u gotta restart. Then we remebered how at some recent meeting we played an abc, everything related to book, game and also a ball throwing yarn game, I don't remember what that one was about sry. Lol, so obviously off track again but that's what makes it fun! :)

Then we talked about: "If this book is so old, is it still relevant to our world today?" Someone mentioned that it is out of print and also that if it was still relevant we would be reading it in school. But others disagreed and mentioned that "Issued don't change, culture changes". And how family views are still the same and haven't changed, but little things like hobbies did; fishing and hiking vs. gaming and texting. But we did say that parents don't punish kids like they used to, cough cough Evil Uncle, and that swearing has changed a lot over time too. Honestly I kind of think that they wouldn't put actual swear words in a book anyone could read, and that these words aren't the worst or exact swear words used at that time either. Someone said that there aren't as many abusive parents, which is kind of true but kind of not because you would never know. Flaunting it and telling people about it sure has changed, nobody knows what goes on behind a family's front door. Parents never show their true selves with their kids to other people or social media, if you want the full story you have to go to the kids. And that brought us to how parents have really had to adapt their techniques with all the social media. Parents are also more paranoid and protective in the modern world. Apparently, we think crime is going up but it's actually going down, just more people are made aware of it. And someone said how in a few years we will have more luck keeping track and understand our own kids, because we'll be closer to their technology knowledge then our parents are to ours. However, I disagreed because I feel that we never know how much our technology will advance. So after all that discussing and reporting and making 2 pages of super crammed notes (I'll spare you the horrible pictures this time) I feel like a reporter!!! And I actually feel like I'm not half bad either, and that this was a super long rant on one hand but a normal report on the other. Lmao...

Anyways moving on to the usual recommendations made by our group (which are slowly diminishing, the recommendations not the group members, lol):
The Marvels -- By: Brian Selznick
Such a Pretty Girl -- By: Laura Wiess
Harry Potter #5 (me) -- By: J. K. Rowling
The Odyssey -- By: Homer (apparently some really awesome old greek book)
Crenshaw -- By: K. A. Applegate
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child -- By: J. K. Rowling  (dis-recommended/bad, the first ever to be)

Omg I almost forgot to mention how our amazing friend Shelly donated a few Arcs she had. She has an amazing blog btw. And our book club got to keep a bunch and I obviously scavenged like mad and picked up The Lovely Reckless by: Kami Garcia and am SUPER SUPER excited about it. It has been on my tbr list for a while and it comes out in October so I'm excited to add another actual Arc to my collection, one I was actually looking forward too. Some others that looked ok were "Girl mans up" and "When we Collide". Oo we also had Food (as always, lol); Earl Grey Tea (for me), oreo thins golden and original, and chocolate finger sticks. Anyways that about sums up the events of this night and as usual it took me a while to write it all down. Omg it took 1.5 hours exactly I just checked. Well if you have anything to say please don't be shy to say it. Thanks for reading as always!!! :)

Hold Fast Review:

Hey Guys! As everyone who reads my blog probably knows, I am in a book club that I have to read books every month, and then meet up and talk about for an hour. This is always so much fun, the talking part, but the reading is sometimes not so great. And now that I have a blog I have to read them to do the book club post every month. So I'm doing this for you, my lovely readers! Lmao. Anyways so for the month of August the book I had to read was Hold Fast by Kevin Major.

Okay so overall this book wasn't too bad but I didn't like it much. First of all, it seemed super old fashioned and not very relatable; but that is explained because it was originally published in 1978. So obviously this book is actually extremely old. Honestly this isn't a book I would usually read which is why I'm kind of glad I had to read it, so now I learned a little more about how things were back then. Especially since this book took place in Canada and not in the US or some far off dystopian world, as usual. This book was pretty short, in my copy only 170 pages, so I got through it easy enough in 3 days even if I had to force myself to read it sometimes. At first I had to force myself to start it but later it wasn't that hard, I guess I kind of latched on and it got better. But even though it only had 170 pages it still kind of felt like a lot at first glance  because the font was very small, as you guys probably know is usually the case with old books/classics. But honestly as I got further into it I kind of stopped noticing. I guess that does mean that it got pretty interesting, which is why I rate it a 6.2/10 stars.

This book actually introduced a lot of new topics for me especially with how the different the language was. As I was reading I noticed many times that the language kind of reminded me of like an old farmer style. You know how they talk; "Howdy how you fine folk doing today" or something like that. I guess it was less like that and more just old timey for that particular time, they weren't exactly farmers but they were close to it. A lot of the phrases I wasn't familiar with and sounded very strange to me, but after a while I got used to it and I'm glad I gave it a chance. As well I really liked how it took place in Canada and even mentioned Toronto! :)  It also really focused on the whole subject of pain and loss, especially at the beginning, and how to overcome it. (As well, at one point the title, Hold Fast is mentioned but I'm not quite sure what it means... Do you?)
The main character's, Michael's, parents died in a tragic car crash and he gets sent off to his aunt and uncle's house to live with his cousins. So obviously the beginning was very tragic, and mainly focused on how Michael had to overcome the loss of his parents. Especially since he got sent off to a new place to relatives he barely knew. The plot of this story had many different "hurdles" I would say, and not just like obstacles, but honestly like different sections. They were; his parents passing away, then him being sent away and having to live with his cousins, and finally them running away back home. These different sections all felt like completely different books I guess, because they were so difference and the author, Kevin Major, even makes this clear by labelling the different sections part one, part two (the longest), and part three. Another thing I had to comment on was how many connections I saw between this book and the previous book club book: How I Live Now. In that book the main character was also sent off to live with her cousins, had to overcome hardships, and ran away and had to live in the wild. So for some reason I feel like there's a theme going here, with these short book club books. ;) Overall, I think the plot was pretty good and by the end I found it quite interesting.
Another thing that played a big role in this book were the characters, well that kind of plays a big role in any book. Anyways... The main character in the novel is named Michael and he's very rash and a big talker, who is very stubborn and always wants to get his way. He gets into fights a few times in the book and severally dislikes his uncle who is all controlling and makes sure rules are followed. He is also described as kind of alluring, and has a relationship with a girl named Brenda in the book. Another important character is his cousin Curtis, who is definitely my favourite character, at times he is shy and doesn't say much but as we get to know him we realise that he is actually a very smart boy with a good heart and a desire to have his own freedom. One of the characters that I particularly disliked that played a large role in the second part is Curtis' "old man" as they call him, and basically Curtis' dad. He is very mean to the boys and has mistreated his family his whole life. He never let them get one ounce of freedom and was always on their backs for something. In the third part Curtis actually leaves his dad to go with Michael because he wants his freedom, and wants to show his dad that he won't put up with him anymore. At the end Curtis gives him a long talk about it and puts him in his place, he says everything he wanted to say to him his whole life, and that he hates him but wants that to change. Other characters include his other old Aunt Flo, his brother Brent, his grandfather, his Aunt Ellen (who's married to "the old man"), and Brenda. His grandfather is also pretty important because after Michael's parents died he was the closest to Mike, but he was old and couldn't take care of him.

This is a novel about trying to get over loss, moving to a new place and trying to fit in, and of discovering yourself and finding freedom all in one. I only read it because I had to but I'm glad that I did. It wasn't my favourite novel but I did end up enjoying it. Thank you so much for reading my review of Hold Fast by Kevin Major, and if you read it and have anything to say I'd love to hear about it! If you know what Hold Fast even means I'd love to know. Lmao.

(Btw have you noticed how Goodreads usually puts more pages then there actually are in a book and you never know what to do about it? ;) Like what's up with that? And here's a quote for you guys to think about:)

Pre-Orders, Book Clubs, Hp Predictions, and More:

OMG I just realised that I haven't posted in 10 days... This calls for an emergency post!!! ;) I'm really really sorry guys that I haven't posted in a while but I honestly haven't finished any books right now. But I do want to talk about some bookish things and make some predictions about my current read: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

Okay so first things first I obviously have to mention a few bookish things before I get into my Harry Potter discussion.

So first of all I just wanted to make a shout out to two books I'm super excited for and will be pre-ordering today from Indigo and how great it works out. Plus how excited I am for the release of EMPIRE OF STORMS in exactly two weeks on September 6th, 2016. As you probably already know I absolutely love Sarah J. Maas and can't help but be super excited for any book that she releases, even if it's not Acotar 3. Empire of storms is the 5th book in the Throne of Glass series, which is my #1 favourite series (not trilogy, cause that would be Acotar). It really is a super awesome series, who's characters I absolutely love (except for maybe Chaol and Manon currently). Sarah J. Maas, the author, is having a pre-order campaign, that I am planning to enter to get a Throne of Glass notebook. It all works out super well because drumroll please .....
28260587             18584855
I'm pre-ordering Heartless by Marissa Meyer too! I know it comes out November 8th, 2016 but if you read my Indigo posts you know how annoying it is when you only get free shipping if you spend over 25$ but most books I order are only 20$. I solved this problem because Heartless by some lucky chance is currently on sale for 13.99$ when it's usually 27.99$ so I got super excited. So altogether it would be 34.84$ which is definitely over 25$ so it's free shipping and instead of some random 5$ book I get HEARTLESS for 9$ more. But what makes this all possible is that if you pay with visa you get 15% off for a limited time, so I'm obvi doing that. I'm super excited for all these coincidences and also to get the EOS notebook!
(*Edit: Turns out it's not so great because since it's free shipping so you get both books in November when Heartless comes out, but I talked to the very nice customer service people about it and explained that I didn't know and I should get EOS sometime in September, hopefully when it comes out. But I did pre-order it and I also entered Sarah's pre-order campaign. Excited for the notebook!)
So moving on to the next bookish thing; How I have a lot of books I really really want to read as soon as I finish the Harry Potter Series. So obviously I will now end with The Cursed Child instead of the Deathly Hollows, and that gives me even more books to complete but I have a very long tbr list that include a few arcs (that I have generously received from NetGalley, thank you so much, but have absolutely no time right now to read, I feel super bad :( ) But there is one book I really want to read, like asap; A Shadow Bright and Burning. I requested it but haven't gotten a response in a month, but it's okay, waiting is better than getting declined. I also recently purchased a bargain book from Indigo that I've had my eye on for a while to complete my EOS pre-order but then it got sold out online but was still available in stores. So I just had to get it! It's From Ashes by Molly McAdams, the synopsis really intrigued me and I really wanted it so I ended up going to go get it. Especially since it was only 5$ and a great deal, because it's usually a lot more, and it was also somewhat on my way when I went back to school shopping. I posted a picture of it on my insta page so if you want you can go check it out, @goldstormbooks. Sorry about my not so great artistical factor, I am very new to bookstagram and will hopefully get a lot better as the years go by. Oo and I almost forgot to mention that I keep seeing the coolest things on bookstagram; the book scented candles especially. THERE IS A RHYSAND scented candle!!! I saw it and I had to get it but they were sold out, so obviously I was very upset. But I also really really want a booky pillow/case, as I do not have one yet and I saw one at Indigo when I was buying From Ashes. It said "Read, Sleep, Dream, Repeat" and it was soo cute but 30$ and I was like; "should I get it... (debating), nah, I don't want to be broke again. Maybe in the future..."
             23203252

So another book I wanted to mention having to read, although not for the same reasons, is Hold Fast by Kevin Major. I'm not very interested in this book at all and hopefully in the future we get better books. But as you probably guessed this is the August book club book. I am probably going to have to put Harry Potter 5 on hold because I really need to read this book and I don't really want to at all. But for you guys I sacrifice... I also wanted to tell you guys that we had a discussion at our last book club meeting and we were told that we can recommend books for our next meetings. I recommended We were liars, because I haven't read it but heard it was good, and my friend recommended the Lovely Bones and I'm excited for that too. If you have any suggestions I would love to hear them in the comments, and hopefully we get newer and better books to read in the future.

But all in all I wanted to mention my next direct reads (asap tbr) right here. So obviously the rest of the HP series, Hold Fast, Anna and the French Kiss, From Ashes, Empire of Storms, The Sea of Tranquility, This is What Goodbye looks like, Put it out there, You before anybody else, The Romantics, and Girls like me. So basically a lot of arcs, a book club book, and Anna and the French Kiss. And obviously no matter what I'm reading it will have to wait as soon as Empire of Storms arrives. And Goodreads just had an ad for Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare and I realised I really need to read that too, because I read all of Cassie's other series, The Mortal Instruments and The Infernal Devices, and loved them. But for some reason I completely forgot about The Dark Artifices. I guess I though Cassie was done, or I just got side tracked with all of Sarah's books... lmao

Now for some quick HP #5 predictions because I didn't realise just how much I had to say about booky stuff (I feel like I just always go off topic, aha):
2- Harry and Cho better get together
- Lord Voldemort has to show up and prove that Harry was telling the truth
- Umbridge is gonna be even bitchier to Harry
- Harry's secret meeting are going to be very successful until Umbridge figures it out
- Sirius is going to come to Hogwarts sometime soon (or close by again)
- Lucius & Malfoy are going to do more evil things
- Hermione and Ron will get together
- Harry will somehow get back on the Quidditch team
- The Twins will plan to get revenge on Umbridge
- Harry will get expelled or suspended but not actually by Umbridge
(Btw: I HATE Umbridge, sooo much.)

Oh I wanted to mention that I am now on the 4th season of Gossip Girl, so almost done! :) And I also wanted to say how much I wanted to go to the San Diego Comic Con, because almost all of my favourite authors and most anticipated books were there. But first I have no idea how to get in, do u need an invite? And second I don't live in the U.S. so it would be really hard to get there... *sigh* but maybe next year...

That about sums up everything I have to say/update you guys on. Thank you so much for reading my blog as always. I know I'm just starting out and I'm probably going to regret at least something sometime in the future, but it's okay. I'll learn, get better, and hopefully get more comments! ;)
- Luv you guys Kat <3

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Review:

I know I haven't posted a book review in a while but that's because since July 22nd apparently (according to goodreads) I've been reading Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Sorry that this took forever guys. Honestly I just want to say that Harry Potter is a great series but it's not exactly my usual style or age group. Also this book in particular was extremely long as is the next one, 734 (this one) and 870 (book 5). Hopefully I will finish at least this series by the end of August but I'm not sure. Usually I would get through a lot more in two months but I guess I've just been really busy recently. So now getting into the actual review....

Overall, as I have already said this book was pretty good and I especially like the last 200 pages. I read them all in one day, because I couldn't put the book down (for once). I also really liked the characters because some of my favs were still here obviously Dumbledore, Harry, Hermione, Ron, and Sirius. As well as some new ones were introduced Ludo Bagman, Viktor Krum, Fleur, Madame Maxine, Moody, Rita Skeeter, and many more. I really enjoyed learning a lot more about the wizarding world and about different schools and more about the Ministery of Magic itself. We also learned that apparently Butterbeer is somewhat alcoholic and is strong for house elves, fun fact because I recently tried Butterbeer and am super excited every time it comes up.

So as I already mentioned I loved the characters. Mainly because I really really liked Sirius, Dumbeldore, and Hermione. They are all such great in depth characters and all are so helpful to Harry and smart. I want to say I really liked Moody but we never really got to know the real Moody so nevermind I guess. I just really liked how we got to know all the characters so much better and how they were all so nice and caring. I also loved Cedric's character and the ending upset me so much because he was such a great guy. A great seeker and a kind man who helped Harry, supported him, and never blamed him. Awww the ending though (no spoilers), but I was sooo upset :( I also really enjoyed how we got to meet so many more characters because we were introduced to two new schools. I also want to say how much Hermione has grown/achieved in this book. She basically managed to help Harry figure out everything about everyone and the tournament, do all her school work, fix her teeth, basically get Viktor Krum, and start a campaign to help house elves. Like jeez, she did even more than Harry! ;)

Now moving on to the plot. Honestly this book was much better plot wise than the other three I've read mainly because I enjoyed reading more parts when they weren't trapped in Hogwarts. For example the first like 150 pages were about the big Quidditch match, and they were very useful for us to get a bach ground for Krum, Bagman, and Crouch. I also really enjoyed how everything came together in this book. I've noticed that the Harry Potter series is not just Fantasy and Adventure as everybody says but it is also a really big mystery/solving crime series. Because Harry and his friends are constantly trying to solve a mystery or discover something. And as a mystery series a lot of things have to be planted in other section for it to work, and it does; completely. At the end I was reading and I was just thrilled when Barty Crouch gen 2 (his son) was recounting the story and everything made sense. How things were going missing, how his elf held his hair for him, who cast the dark mark, and more. It just made sense. I really appreciate when authors put meaning into everything they write and in this book I can definitely say that J.K Rowling did. I had absolutely no questions at all when I was done.

6
I am excited to read the next book and learn more about the new characters, the new settings, and more. I am also hoping that we get a chance to see the other two schools in close up and that something will happen with Krum and Hermione, I ship it! ;) (Dkm, I know about her and Ron, Aha) So yea I'd love to learn more about Beauxbatons and Durmstrang as well as the many new characters. I think this is also the first book in which two major events took place; the Triwizard tournament, as well as something else (major spoiler). And this is also the book in which a lot of new information is introduced and your perception of the wizarding world grows a lot. I feel like the books are maturing a lot and are starting to include more mature content, that satisfies my age category better. A good examply is now we are dealing more with loss, deaths (sadly), romance, and anger. There were many fights and tests of friendship in this book, as well as an introduction to romance. Wink wink. As well a few characters actually died while the events were taking place, and Harry nearly died again.

I should probably touch upon on the Triwizarding tournament because that was what the majority of this book was about, as well as Moody. So the tournament was basically a contest that involved participants from 3 schools and 3 champions originally. These champions have to complete three tasks and the winner gets a lot of money and pride. You are supposed to only be able to enter is you are 17 but somebody enters Harry and he becomes the 4th champion, somehow... They have to undergo 3 events, battling dragons, rescuing friends from the bottom of a lake, and then reaching the centre of a maze. This is all fine until the last two people decide to tie and both are put in danger. That's the basic jist of it and if I say any more it's going to spoil everything. Professor Moody also plays a major role in this book. He is the students' new defence against the dark arts teacher and has a particular liking towards Harry.

Overall, this was a much more exciting, informational, and content packed novel than the rest and I much enjoyed it. I would recommend this book to 9-12 year olds who love fantasy and mystery as well as reading about competitions and friendships. I would probably rate it 8.6/10 stars because it was better than the other three but still not as good as some of the other books I have read.

Thank you so much for reading my reviews as always!!! - <3 Kat

More Acomaf and Butterbeer:

Hey, all my amazing readers, again,

I know I did a post yesterday and I should probably spread these out but I'm at a cit program this week, and I won't have much time to post. Sorry :(. But good news is I won't have much time to watch gossip girl either so maybe I'll finally finish Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Probably not but maybe, you never know. Lmao...

Anyways so what this post is about is basically what I did yesterday which had a lot more to do with books then any other day this week so I'll do a post on it. Okay so during the day I was basically obsessing over Acomaf, which is literally just me looking at fanart and quotes. Maybe I should link my liked quotes instead of my bookshelf, from goodreads, to my blog. It's definitely more interesting. Then in the evening, we left around 6, we drove to the Toronto Greek festival. I'm pretty sure it was a food festival but it wasn't all greek. So we got there around 7 and left at 10 so a good 3 hours walking around in the most crowded area ever... But my family friend was there and she's awesome. So all in all it was intense but fun! :)

So now I'll break down exactly what I did and saw...

During the Day:
Okay so as I already said, during the day I was literally just obsessing over Acomaf. I was going to watch Gossip Girl but instead for some reason started thinking about Acomaf... So I just obsessed over that instead. I actually ended up watching the last episode of season 2 at like 12am because I was too occupied with Acomaf. Oh I remeber I decided to post a blog post yesterday and I needed a quote so first I looked for one not from acomaf because I had one from there last month, and I needed a new one. So I searched for a while and I also opened acomaf just in case and then when I was closing everything I decided to go back and relive that acomaf experience through some of those dialogue quotes. Here are some of my favourite quotes from Acomaf:
“To the people who look at the stars and wish, Rhys."
Rhys clinked his glass against mine. “To the stars who listen— and the dreams that are answered.”
“He thinks he'll be remembered as the villain in the story. But I forgot to tell him that the villain is usually the person who locks up the maiden and throws away the key. He was the one who let me out.”
“I’m thinking,” he said, ... “that I look at you and feel like I’m dying. Like I can’t breathe. I’m thinking that I want you so badly I can’t concentrate half the time I’m around you...”
“My friend through many dangers. My lover who had healed my broken and weary soul. My mate who had waited for me against all hope, despite all odds.”
And Many Many More! Almost all the quotes I absolutely love, just like I loved the whole book.
Well after I was done that I started searching up pictures of quotes, and some of the pictures were straight from the book and some were just with a beautiful background. But anyways one of the pictures was of a page in the book I'd never seen before. And I was obviously intrigued. I clicked on the link and something amazing popped up. I knew it existed because I was watching a Youtuber, probably Christine, and she mentioned, it a while back. It was the amazing short story at the end of the Target edition between Cassian and Nesta. And it was all there!!! (Or here:) So I freaked out a little and started reading it. I read it and loved it, too short I need more Acomaf! After that I started looking at fanart (on google images, lmao) of Rhys and Feyre as well as Cassian and Nesta (Such a cute couple!) A lot of the fan art is actually really good! The only thing I didn't like as much about the short story was that it seemed oddly similar to a lot of Feysand's "steamy" scenes... But it was cute nonetheless. (Btw when I was searching I found that Velaris is an atcual hotel somewhere in Croatia! lol)
Some of my favs (creds to whoever made them):

Then In the Evening:
Wow for some reason every time I type I don't feel like I have that much to say and then it turns out I do. Anyways so then in the evening me and my family friend went to the Greek Festival downtown and walked around for 3 hours. I kind of already described it earlier but it was so crowded it was scary... Literally. My dad made a comment about how this must have felt in France when that truck killed a ton of people and they had no where to go. I got so freaking scared, because no joke if something bad did happen we'd have absolutely no where to go. But the actual festival was really fun, don't let me scare you. Why I'm writing about it in my book blog, and the best part of it was when my friend saw a really cool looking wagon that sold different types of sodas, cream soda, root beer, and BUTTERBEER! Yup the actual legit thing, so obviously we had to get it. It was 10$ because it came in a really cool souvenir cup, sadly it wasn't a harry potter one, but it was worth it. I didn't actually buy it my friend did, because I had no cash, but I did drink like a third of it from my friend because it was sooo good. I swear I'll be craving it forever now. It tasted kind of like watery caramel but way better and was the color of maply syrup/honey ish. It was the best thing ever, kind of like pop/soda with the bubbles but not really, because the bubbles were like barely there. Literally no words to describe it. SO GOOD! My only savoir is that there are probably ways you can make it at home; recipes. :) The only thing was that it was cold/iced but I imagined it to be hot (like hot chocolate), but there are probably different kinds so it's okay. When I started writing this post I had such a flashback to when I wrote my other post about Hp and the Cursed Child and I talked about how I really wanted to go to Universal, to try butterbeer and to get a wand. Well now I've officially tried Butterbeer, I feel so fulfilled in life! :)

So anyways as you can see it was a good day! I tried butterbeer and I discovered a short story from Acomaf I'd never read before! The short story I can share with you but sadly the butterbeer I cannot... :( But anyways thanks for reading as always. And if you've tried butterbeer I want to hear what you though of it and if it was hot or cold and the taste!

August Update Movies + Spoilers:

Hey Guys,
Sorry I haven't posted anything in a while been really busy. I'm still reading Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire but now some people *cough cough* have spoiled some things for me... Sadly. So spoilers if you haven't read it yet but yet again that's probably only me. Apparently Hermione and Ron are going to end up together and Harry and Ginny will too (which everybody but me pronounces Jinny for some reason). So sadly, now I know all that. Then I decided to take a quiz to see which house I would be in (because I am completely torn), and my first result was Gryffindor and my second was Hufflepuff, and I though I was Ravenclaw so I was sooo confused. But my first thought (at the very beginning when we had the June book club discussion) was that I was in Gryffindor but I didn't want to say that because that's what everybody says after reading the first couple of books. Mainly because Harry and almost all the characters in the series so far are in Gryffindor and it's from their point of view. But after I told me friend, who read the series, she agreed and said that I was Gryffindor (so I was right, yay).
Anyways as I was saying, I was doing these quizs and I just happen to be 200 pages into the book (very slowly getting through it sorry guys, because of gossip girl hmpft, it's too good), which in case you don't remember is when we just find out that there is going to be something called the triwizard tournament and at my particular point, it's when all the schools are arriving and there's a really fat lady. That's just where I'm at... (As you can see I got stuck at such an interesting part... lmao) Anyways back to my story... Basically I had no clue at all as to what the triwizarding tournament is or what's going to happen, or how Harry is planning to get in because he's definitely going to try. I was doing the later quiz actually and I was just answering questions about me and about some things in the books and all of a sudden I click next and this question pops up:
(*spoiler* because I wish it had said that!!!)     "You are a Triwizard Tournament Champion. Which task is the most challenging for you?" A. Battling Dragons, B. The Maze, or C. Rescuing Friends Deep in the Black Lake...
So obviously I FREAKED OUT, and was really upset because it just spoiled THE WHOLE FREAKING 4TH BOOK FOR ME, but at least now I know it gets more interesting. Sadly, now I also know exactly what's going to happen and that Harry is probably going to be the champion... SO moving on from that terrible tale I have some predictions I want to share with you guys.

Predictions:
So as I said one of my friends horribly spoiled the romance in this books, but it's also my fault because I went to an event that was basically about Harry's kid... So ya it's on me that I found out who he had a kid with. But I think that since some people said this was the best book and that there was a little bit of romance but it was failed... (1) I think that Harry is going to try to be with Cho Chang in this book not Ginny. Firstly because Ginny's barely mentioned so far and secondly because he keeps thinking about that Ravenclaw Seeker. The first time he saw her he though she was pretty, and she's a seeker so that makes it better. Plus he started having dreams about her. All we see of Ginny was how she goes with the Weasley family to the World Quidditch match and how in the 2nd book she was stupid and got herself almost killed by Voldemort/Tom Riddle. So honestly I don't see what Harry (in the future) sees in her... One of my other predictions which I think is pretty obvious because of how all the books so far have gone by is that Harry will win the Triwizard Tournament and become the champion because he somehow found a way to be in it in the first place. I don't even need to explain that one. Also I think that Fred and George Weasley will actually start up their company of funky fake wands and tricks and be really successful. I also think that Serious Black will come back and help Harry, and eventually he will be free, be Harry's guardian, and sign Harry's Hogsmeade letter (which is still really bothering me). I also think that the person who cast the Dark Spell with the skull was Voldemorte and that he will get very close to killing Harry at some point in this books. And last of all I think that Hagrid might meet the big Lady of that other school and they might hit it off. Lmao. So I when I finish the book I'll tell you which of my predictions came true and which I'm still waiting on.

I also wanted to ask you guys if you also want me to make posts about movies and series I've recently watched or am watching. Because as I already said I'm currently watching Gossip Girl and it's really good. I'm also currently watching Iron Man all 3 movies, and they're really good. I'm a huge Marvel/Avengers Fan. As well, I watched Nerve yesterday in theatres (It came out July 27th, 2016) starring Emma Roberts and Dave Franco and it was super scary by the end, had a huge plot twist, but was surprisingly intriguing and super amazing. The plot and everything was so different from all the movies I've seen so far, and it was really cool to watch. The soundtrack was also really good and the whole modern idea of a viral dare game was awesome. I also really loved Tommy's character, played by Miles Heizer (he was so sweet and cute! <3), plus it doesn't help that it stars Emma Roberts, who is one of my favourite actresses.

So all in all this was a post about what's been going on recently in my book/movie world. Thanks for reading and if you have anything to say at all I'd love to hear it! I also went to Indigo yesterday and it looked super cool for the new Harry Potter book. If you're too shy to say anything here I'd love to hear what you think on my instagram @goldstormbooks! Thanks so much for viewing and following!  - Kat <3
